Petroleum activities
Port La Nouvelle is the second largest French
Mediterranean port for petroleum products imports.
Hydrocarbon imports represent approximately
1.1 million t of white products distributed throughout
the South of France and Andorra. Current products are
unleaded gasoline, gas oil and fuels (domestic,
agriculture, etc). Facilities include one sealine for
tankers (maximum 190 m length x 31.30 m beam x
11.60 m draft), with one mooring buoy anchored at
-18 m, one flexible pipe of 10 in. and one 16 in., 2450 m
long pipe going to shore. It accepts ships up to
30 000 dwt and 40 000 Mt displacement. The port
also proposes two berths for medium sized tankers
(maximum 145 m length x 22 m beam x 8 m draft),
equipped to charge/discharge hydrocarbon products,
biofuels and any conventional liquids.
The operator of the main terminal, which has a
storage capacity of 145 000 m

, is EPPLN (Entrepôt
Pétrolier de Port La Nouvelle), a company owned by
Total and Dyneff (50:50). From 2012 - 2014, the main
terminal has been granted approximately
€
